Additional product information for Novelty Soaps

Ingredients: Purified Water, Glycerine, Sodium Stearate, Sorbitol, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Laurate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid, Pentasodium Pentetate, Tetrasodium Etidronate

Description: Melt & Pour glycerine is soap is made with approx. 20 % white soap and 80% vegetable glycerine. The white soap originally has sodium hydroxide (lye is produced when sodium hydroxide is mixed with water) as an emulsifier (to bond the oils and the water).

The white soap is then cured for 3-4 weeks during which time the lye reacts with fatty acids and becomes inert. During the curing process the lye dissipates and the total residue in the final product is only approx. 0.1%.

Novelty soaps may also include coloured oxides, fragrances and essential oils which have been approved for cosmetic use.

If you have any doubts about what is in my products, please email me with your questions before ordering.

Product Care

  • These products are hand manufactured and care and consideration are taken when making them, however slight imperfections may occur during the process.
  • Damage may occur if soaps are susceptiable to rough handling.
  • If left uncovered in humid weather the soaps will “sweat”. The humidity draws the glyerine out from the soap in the form of little beads of sweat. This does not effect the product and the beads can be washed off. It is adviseable to keep the soaps covered at all times either in their original packaging or covered with Glad Wrap. Usuage of the soap will eliminate any sweating.

If you have any further questions regarding the product care please do not hesitate to contact me on email: dragonflylane@bigpond.com.
